WHITE ROCK LAKE PARK
AND SURROUNDING ATTRACTIONS.
Nestled neatly on the northeastern side of downtown Dallas,
White Rock Lake provides an oasis away from big city life. Being
a non-motorized lake keeps the noise and bustle to a minimum.
However, sail boats are allowed and the 2 sailing clubs are
very welcoming. Around the lake is a bike trail that runs close
to 11 miles along the water-front with off-shoots to take you
to other areas of the city. There are historic bathhouses and
a gorgeous arboretum called none other than The Dallas Arboretum.
White Rock Lake is as about the closest to nature as you can
get while still being in the Dallas city limits. It's no wonder
that it's so attractive to so many people wanting city life,
yet a place in nature to get away.
